Duplication is less expensive and less professional, but as long as the disc plays, it works just fine. However, if you are a company that wants to distribute information as professionally as possible, using replication might be a good choice. This is especially true if you plan to give the discs to a large number of people. When making your decision, weight the expense of replication against the benefits of having a top-notch, professional quality product with professionally designed packaging.

One of my favorite childhood memories was the time my father took me to see Superman: the Movie at the theater. This was actually my first time ever going to a movie theater and I remember the excitement of sitting in the cushy chairs and eating buttered popcorn while we watched the movie on the huge screen with sound blasting all around us. Nowadays, going to the theater just doesn’t have quite the same appeal that it did when I was just a little boy.

Just a few weeks ago, I took my own two little girls out to see a movie. They shared the same excitement that I did when I was a youth, and while I was happy to share this experience with them. I was not so happy about the effect it had on my wallet. By the time we had purchased the tickets, bought popcorn, candy and sodas, my mind had trouble focusing on the movie in front of my eyes because of the enormous chunk of change I had just parted with; the cost of the event was a whopping .

Going to see a movie at the theater is still something that I will choose to do from time to time, but with the incredible vast selection and low prices of film rental, I’ve chosen this method as the most popular for my family to watch new movies. Rather than fight traffic, crowds, and rising gas prices, renting a DVD for three dollars and watching it at home is often times a much easier and certainly cheaper option.

You can download a movie from the Internet for a set fee, and then play it back on your computer. Although it is nice to have this option, it poses another set of problems. Having these online movie rental options means that you’ll have to set up a TV to watch VHS tapes and DVDs, and set up your computer to watch movie downloads. This certainly makes laying out your living room more difficult!

I do use online movie rentals, but I stay with the traditional format. For me, VHS and DVD are more than enough options. Until then, however, my biggest source for movie rentals will be the video store. Sure, sometimes I get an online movie rental to save money, or to get a movie that is not available at my local store, but for the most part I prefer to have the flexibility of choosing a movie when I want one.
